Dog, Dog

Dog, Dog

A Poem by Korbyn Rague

Dog, dog, as you sit on my lap.
You'll bark at anything, how about that?

What if I shouted while you were relaxed?
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT??!! HOW ABOUT THAT??!!

Dog, dog, my companion for life.
I don't know if you're much quieter than a wife.

I'll take you to the beach and let you lie,
As I read a book or look at the sky.

Dog, dog, you'll nap in a basket,
Or bask in the sun, if that's where you're at.

You'll scream at a cat,
You'll let it scream back.

Dog, dog, you're loud and sleepy.
But you'll sit with me when I'm weepy.

You'll bark and sleep, and bark and sleep.
But I'll keep you anyway, won't that be neat?

Dog, dog as you sit on my lap.
We'll be friends forever, how about that?
