Song for EmperorA Poem by L. N. CepelevaThis poem has been floating in my mind for sometime now. Though when I was writing it down it was more of a bard song than a actual poem. This poem/bard song may or may not appear in my book.Song for Emperor The shinning knight stood tall, Banner raised and swaying in winter’s breath, Bloody battle, gory battle did he take. Gleaming sword, swinging as he bade. Too soon his head did fall, For the Winter's Son did call. Axe and hammer to the sky, The Silver Wolf hast come to prowl, His yellow eyes did gleam, In sadness and in fear. For the shinning knight's head doth rolled; In crimson flow - in Everdawn. 'Hark, o'fellow soldier!' The Silver Wolf did howled, 'enough of this! Ye’r Shining Knight hast met a bloody end!’ But the brave battalion stood tall this night. And drove the Silver Wolf - The Winter's Son Back to moonless night. And now, doth our Emperor sit, On his throne, on royal rightful land, To rule with just, to rule with pride. Love and homage do we pay, To our Emperor - Thârthal the Great. © 2018 L. N. Cepeleva |
