Seasons of Love

Seasons of Love

A Poem by Celena

Our love was like the seasons,
Starting with spring.
Spring, what a lovely month full of beginnings.
Flowers blooming and bees buzzing,
Blossoms taking over the trees.
And then came summer,
Bright and sunny summer.
Clear skies and not a worry in sight.
Not even realizing fall is right around the corner.
The once lovely blossoms wither,
And everything turns a dry brown.
But fall was nothing compared to winter.
Cold and harsh winter,
Destroying everything in its path.
No more blossoming flowers or bright skies.
Nature's beauty gone and left dead,
Just like our love.

I enjoyed the poem. I like the way you used the seasons.
"Nature's beauty gone and left dead,
Just like our love."
Sometime love do fall with the seasons. I believe Winter is the time for longing. Need someone to keep you warm during the cold nights of Winter. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
