Hunger for Beauty

Hunger for Beauty

A Poem by Celena

I have a ravenous hunger for beauty,
To be paper thin like the models on my wall.
After all "boys don't like fat girls"
Counting calories and skipping meals,
Nothing tastes as good as being thin will feel.
Sharp hip bones and poking ribs,
Feeling thin and beautiful is the sweetest ecstasy.
"You are what you eat" they say,
And I ate nothing so that's what I became.
No flesh,
Just bones.
Nothing to love.

Seeking perfection make us do and act the wrong ways.
It is sad we don't teach. Our imperfection make us beautiful and worthwhile.
"No flesh,
Just bones.
Nothing to love."
I agree withe lines above. Too slim. Nothing to love. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
