And When He Comes

And When He Comes

A Poem by celecis

When the winter comes

And the dark sets in

He digs his way to the surface

The snow doesn't fall

The stars disappear

His presence evolves the world in fear

Bringing the storm within

The fog rises from the ground,

Life is silenced

A godforsaken place

And it's when he comes

The alive turn dead

People turn ghouls

And it's when he comes

And you cannot see him

It's when he kills the world.

This reads beautifully. When HE comes, which I take to mean winter, darkness fills, light fades and thoughts turn negative. He kills the world, but it is reborn in spring, and we begin to live once more.
Superb. He could also be evil, but I prefer the wintry option, as I sit reading with coffee in hand at all the snow out my window :)
