My Separate Self

My Separate Self

A Poem by cejordi84
"

A short, concise effort in tribute to the disembodied tradition, inspired by Dylan Thomas.

"
My separate self, divergent dreamer
Scythe-crossed, severed aspect of my specter -
Neither believer nor denier, black nor white
Resonating frequencies of light -
Intelligence libidinous on my flesh-stripped tongue.
My agnostic prophet,
Cleft dialectic convergent
Split at the vertex of wrist and spine,
Angelic symmetry delicately immortal-
The accuracy of a cadaverous twine.
