what happens when they finally ask about you?

When my children one day ask, who I first fell in love with, I will smile, and show them a picture of the blonde hair blue eyed boy I fell in love with when I was fifteen, and tell them how tall you stood against my small structure, how you kissed me so gently yet so passionately, how you taught me to brave out the crashing waves while I sailed on my small boat, and how when my boat finally broke, you took my hand in yours, and helped me build a new one that could withstand the storm. They’ll ask where you went and ill simply say “he was the big wave I was prepared for”
