oh , i love this piece. the visual of the lizard is so dear. I have to admit the first thing I thought of was my time I did mission work in Dominica and I was in the church and people would scream as the lizards would crawl through the church and watch them hang on the walls. It is just like how in the US we have spiders everywhere and people (myself included) are very scared of those spiders. Anyway, I of course then felt deeper into the poem and understood it to be much deeper. The metaphor made me smile and feel sad thinking of the loneliness. How hard it is to be apart. The piece is just absolutely charming!
Thank you for your review. This was very good and I hope to read more of your work soon. Keep it up. I love the idea of the lizard.

The best part of your poem is that you retained your identity and culture in your work, this is something that I would appreciate with Gabriel Garcia Marquez as well. Writing in English does not necessarily make us lose our culture, we just have to write the way we are. Your use of certain words and grammatical technique weaves the local color in your poem. Its culture makes it genuinely a gem.
This is really nice and cute piece you've written. A lot of people will not believe that a lizard would cry like that. That goes the same with the rest of the reptiles as well. I mean, they said that the reptiles are cold-blooded creatures, but when they say that, they also believe that the retiles are cold hearted, too
yeah i really liked the whole gecko thing...... theres a ton of them in florida and they just kinda walk around its pretty cool.... anyway nice poem i liked this one!!!
