Disappointment:

Disappointment:

A Poem by Eric Weick

At the stage,

at the desk,

student weeps,

time to rest.

Years wasted,

only to come back

to a position she had,

held before.

And the hope

she had…

Back to a truth in soul,

she had lacked.

Disappointment: A plague

of Family.

Eyes are hers,

these eyes are his.

Thirty years a sham,

only failure left to live.

Disappointment: A sorrow of the heart.

Here is a white flag,

here, is, my, flag.

Giving up should only raise concern,

when we speak of devils.

God only knows,

i am more then concerned,

when i think….

on, these, evils.

Disappointment: Lineage has found true love.

Hi Eric,
Thank you for this entry to my little contest.
I cannot comment now as this would be unfair to other entries.
I shall return after the contest is over.
Best regards.

Thank you Hikari.
I really enjoyed the repetition of Disappointment throughout and the way it was offset by italics. Beautiful lyricism. Understated, yet profound... I really enjoyed this piece.
