Stump

Stump

A Poem by Eric Weick

Jacob lead the people.

Bury it within the dust,

at the foot of a tree.

Bethel, turn away,

one hundred and five years.

Can not see.

Weight of a god,

anvil to the body.

Cycle this town,

a grave stone and a house he found.

Carry he did, comfort to the tree,

only to watch her,

as she would bleed…

out…

the blood that she sucked in.

Here is a dream,

awaken to a lie.

A nightmare, the poor in worship,

can not pass by.

Jacob did you feel a fool?

I did too, thought I could rule,

with a crown, better then any king.

life: a future hanging by a string.

Within all darkness,

within all that is end.

A song is sung,

from friend to friend.

Wisdom, she is a beauty,

her voice a muse,

a song of her father,

I once refused,

now

can only sing.

This was written very uniquely. :)
