A great piece of true words. I lived in Alaska for a number of years and would cross country ski. The only sound was the swish of the skis across the snow. Very peaceful and dead silence. Nice write
Amid all of the horrific news of the world in the 24-hour media cycle, one desperately needs some quiet space cleared in their head, to stifle the noise and appreciate the peaceful snowfall, hoping for the snow to cover the daily blight. I am unwillingly hooked to the news and hope to find MY snowfall, using yours as a peaceful example. Thank you Christine for this lovely writing. take care...dan

thank you Dan, hoping for more snow this year, amid the unseasonable warmth.
Often we forget to live in the moment. You've captured that decision to not let the craziness of the world intrude on the glory of nature. I love that it is snowing, as I often think of snow as a purifier. It washes the world in white for a while, leaving it lovely, quiet and pristine...if only until traffic turns it gray. Well written. If I were in an area where it is cold enough to snow, I'd join you in this moment.
