Changing the World One Person at a TimeA Poem by CaroleWhat will I do with the gifts I've been given? Will I use them for good To touch the life of another? Perhaps a mother a father a son or a daughter Will I speak a word that will lighten a load? Will I, by my listening, help to ease life's bitter woes? Could I encourage even just one human life And lift them from a place of preponderous strife? Could I be the person that lends a hand To a precious woman or a precious man That have spent their life time in a dark miry pit Questioning life and ready to quit? All of life's experiences can become costly and invaluable jewels Each one can become a wonderous tool One of our trials may be the one that brings life To a man or a woman, a husband or wife Though each of us are only one solitary person on this earth We must never forget our incredible worth Using our gifts with others in mind We can change this world one person at a time © 2009 CaroleFeatured Review
