In with the new, out with the old.

In with the new, out with the old.

A Poem by Christopher.Holmberg

A growing sobriety-

dedicates minds,

thick and thin;

respectfully rearranging,

societies glue.

Where within walls,

loud men signal their disciples.

In homes, they meet accordingly.

Splitting wicks,

while shortening the fuse;

they gaze upon no longer,

sought no further.

Remnants remain just;

A generation worn.

"A generation worn," may be the most creative way anyone's referred to someone past their prime. You described age with words as good as anyone I've ever seen and I love the imagery you used here. A great display of life moving on, like clockwork. Really, fantastic write.

This was a wonderful write. It makes the reader fee where you are coming from. The different stages of the walk of someone who has been through and is now overcoming it all. It speaks power, strength, and triumph. The battle was won. I like it.

If only we could stay as we were as children. But, we have to do the dance of rebellion, revenge, and finally reconciliation.
