Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

A Poem by Autumn's Child
"

The exact description of my night....minus the company.

"

I still taste the oil from the clove

that was resting in your mouth

before you    kissed    the

                    chocolate strawberry

off my lips

while we drenched

          the passionate fruit

in swirls of dark chocolate

and laid them out

in rows of reds and browns

          intermingling like lovers

               caught up in rich kisses

that taste as sweet

     as    clove oil    and

                    chocolate covered strawberries.

This has a childlike feel to it that makes it a relaxing read. Great descriptions as always.

Keep Writing. ^___^

I love this...everything about it...from the way you described everything down to the way you set it up. Very wonderfully and beautifully written! Indeed poetic romance at its best. Great write!

Absolutely beautiful, though a little hard to read the way you typed it.

Excellent! Free from the normal poetry verses and modern-structures/meters usual poets try to force upon others; a perfect blend of sensualist romance and fulfilling the picture thirst for images painted in mind making the reader see what you feel and taste what you taste inside the lust-crave for a past memory revisited with a simple and sweet short burst of tension rising in the mind as you indulge on our senses. Bravo :)

Yanno, I'd eat more fruit, if it was served that way.
My version of this poem would have probably been centered around something like, mild duds (lol).
Come to think of it, I'd read more poetry, if it was written, this way too.

This poem is my idea of the perfect meal, sans the strawberries.
