Lazy SundayA Poem by Autumn's ChildThe whole world It’s swirling outside Your soft heart tunes it out Beating against my ear I am wrapped up in you Your protective arm Draped lazily over my shoulder In a casual embrace As the haunting guitar Of Boz Skaggs croons From the radio on the stand Let the world go by Let the hours pass Let the sun rise and set And the moon sing its melody As it crests the hillside Let the days turn to weeks And the weeks turn to months And the months turn to years Let your arm stay draped over my shoulder And my ear hear the music Of your heart. © 2008 Autumn's ChildReviews
