Lucie And The boy.

Lucie And The boy.

A Poem by Dimpe

She's coping and grasping
swimming from the shallow end

While I'm following
the well laid plans

She's becoming
what she thinks she's meant for

As I'm bleaching my eyes
blinding me from the inevitable
where I'm going
where I'm being led

She's killing her soul

I'm crawling under a rock
lower than dirt
and then talk
we need to talk
talk disrespect
talk ungratefulness
talk about you
feeling like such
a bad person
so I crawl from my rock
to become what she needs
so that she can sleep
with herself, by herself

And she feels something 'different'
but can't remember
and never sees him again
she's afraid to know
so just to make sure
she throws it all away
throws everything she has
at the first receptor
So burn some rubber
and come so close
but fail
thank God you failed
thank God, right now

And now I cope
It's my turn
to drink
and sulk about the loss
of the hell I almost had
wipe the rum from my beard
the Pack is winning
do you know what today is?

The little ones make the difference
so she dries her mother's tears

And my closest shoulder to lean on
inadvertently shows me where to go

Hey cool kid
It's great to finally meet you

Because I've known you
Before I knew your name

Ah, such a round life everyone leads. I liked this, this story within a poem. It was a very good piece.
