Grammatically CorrectA Poem by Christopher S. BrennanApostrophes are the most notorious pieces of punctuation for getting sick, Because if they're not careful, One inch lower and they might slip into a comma. Periods are just black dots that don't cause mood swings. Semi colons are just interracial couples. Colons are periods who found love, Or are racist against commas, Or are racist periods in love, 69ing while experiencing bowel dysfunctions. Quotations are an apostrophe's orgy. Two in the front, someone in the middle, and two in the back. Dollar signs are S's who drunkenly took a dare from their friends and now find themselves in a hospital waiting room at 3 am. Slashes are the Pisas of lowercase L's And a pound symbol was a sharp, Was a tic-tac-toe board Before it EVER became a f*****g hashtag. © 2016 Christopher S. Brennan |
