A Poem by Carlton B. Reid III

Water pulls, and water blows
the rocks with foam as it erodes
the base of houses built on stone
for little ones evading snow.

Winter comes, and winter slows
its advance, cause winter knows
that a slow charge will surely mow
the little ones evading snow.

Wind, it pulls and wind, it blows
a giant rock, a cliff you know,
for the only haven with face shown
guards little ones evading snow.

I liked this a lot. The repetition of evading the snow was particularly powerful and possible poignant? Just my interpretation :) Very good
