waiting for......anything....

waiting for......anything....

A Poem by Carla (trying to make every day count)
"

I saw an old man feeding pigeons today. It inspired this.

"

park bench
cold, grey metal
peeling, red paint
grimy, dirty jacket with flag decal
there every day
to feed the birds
off the normal pathway
he opens the bread bag
grabs a slice
people think him a fleabag
tosses it to his only friends
they don't judge
they don't condescend
pigeons posturing
feathers flying
every bird cooing
old man stares into the unknown
waiting,
tossing,
tossing
waiting
repeat tommorrow

:) i think it presents wonderfully the scene...and the ending is excruciatingly beautiful..

This is a very True piece and I clearly see the effort less writing of yours.
The way you've poured you emotions in it...its really awesome..
I love this part a lot- ""old man stares into the unknown
waiting,
tossing,
tossing
waiting""

A superb read!
