"Brooklyn"

"Brooklyn"

A Poem by Cbklyn4u
"

A sense within myself about the borough of New York City that I love...

"

"Brooklyn"

Shouting out from Brooklyn

A borough within the city

Where I lived my whole life in

Amongst such diversity

From any neighborhood you pick

From deep down in Bay Ridge

To up North In Bushwick

You'll find a deep rooted heritage

We sound off, accents in variety

All standing tall and proud

A place of comfort, our own society

Our music plays tough and loud

Here may lie poverty and comfort

But we continiously climb

Despite any situation of sort

A sense of Pride,  you'll find

In this part of the city

Lies a heart that beats

Never wanting anyone's pity

For what we have are our streets

Yes,  a tree grows in Brooklyn

But along with that growth

Are a people who stregnthen

Our pride and sprit both

We'll continue to show our pride

To everyone in sight

Just take a look at our streets outside

Our walk,  is one in stride
