"Treasure This Time"

"Treasure This Time"

A Poem by Cbklyn4u
"

Watchng my grandkids play in the very same park that I used to... brought thoughts about how life used to be..

"

Treasure This Time

As I sit amongst a crowded park

To watch the children play

I wondered what happened to that spark

That I too felt one day

When I gleefully played on the very same grounds

Which seemed like yesterday

Running, playing, laughing around

Didn't matter what they'd say

But time crept up so easily

In turn to sit and gaze

At the young innocense of those playing gleefully

Now to them, nothing to phase

May they treasure this time in their lives

When they seem not to have a care

For one day in turn it will arrive

When they too, will sit and stare
