Though I cannot hear you, nor see your face

You're in my thoughts, you're in my heart

I that know you're in a better place

But our spirits, that would never part

 

For you were the strength that led me through

Held my hand tight, helped me move on

When the tides were were high or just a few

You helped me to always look beyond

 

Blessed am I to have called you Dad

For not many can compare

You gave me all, the best you had

The most loving, gentle care

 

You made me strong, look at me now

Thankful prayers, for  I have had you too

For you were the one that showed me how

To be all that I am,  I am through you

 

My love for you burns in my heart,

Not just on this special day

But all the time, you'll always be a part

For you guided me all the way

For not many can truly say

That as a Dad you were by far
