Preach Not to Me

Preach Not to Me

A Poem by Cbklyn4u
"

My views on how people think their views on religion

"

What lies in the vault

of the secret past?

That reveals our beginnings,

Leading our to  existence last?

Was the path laid out

with just Adam and Eve?

For Christians and Jews

But others cannot perceive?

Like gossip, the book lost in translation along the way,

while passing through tongues, changed course to this day.

For one will pass on what they want to reveal,

but how is one to know

how the almighty truly feels?

No one can claim the genesis of Mankind.

Passed eons of time, such could not unwind.

Nor can any one’s beliefs righteously claim,

for each has its goal, their own victorious fame.

Embedded within us, race, color or creed,

lies a heart has a constant need to feed.

No matter what title we give our practicism,

Christianity, Islamic, Buddhist or Judaism.

or any other to receive criticism.

Our Creator wears no particular garb to be the divine.

Above all of us, he/she continues to shine.

Look down not at anyone different than you.

How they practice and believe, or their different view.

For the beauty of humanity has a colorful hue,

It’s blindness by some are more than a few.

Preach against hatred, sing harmony out loud.

No matter how you sing it, our Creator is proud!

Proud of those of us who walk

down the path of righteousness.

Respecting our peers

And spreading nothing less

So, preach not to me,

about your views, the solemn one,

There is only one being.

and above that is none.

Your words are thought-provoking and full of wisdom. The way you explore the complexities of religion and belief is both insightful and poetic. Your use of metaphor and imagery is particularly effective, and it helps to create a sense of wonder and introspection in the reader. I think that your writing is a testament to the power of faith to inspire and uplift us.
