Rolling Along

Rolling Along

A Poem by Cbklyn4u

Rolling

Since we parted, I tried to start anew.

Letting go of so many possessions,

Reminding  me of you.

From notes to articles of clothing, nothing to see,

Don’t want anything of you in front of me.

But in the evening, the clouds held not their swell. It rained, torrential  and deep.

And roared out their thunder as I tried to sleep.

The sounds that were so personal, our sweet  lullaby,

Now flowed my tears,  Couldn’t help but  to cry.

For these kind of things I cannot erase

In my mind there are too many a space

Where memories float, remembering you

The one that once said, “I love you too.”

Let these memories roll right out of my mind,

All the rolling sounds, leave them all behind.
