In Solitude

In Solitude

A Poem by Cbklyn4u

In solitude we are apart

But in reality you’re in my heart

Your presence not felt physically

But indented and etched emotionally

A scent, a thought, a word or a song

Brings back you in my mind, forget all the wrong

A smile on my lips, the result of these things

Your love so sweet, may it always bring

Memories of love, sharing and kindness

Not the madness, leave that to blindness

Hence keep the good in tact and flowing

For within myself I am engulfed in knowing

That I gave my all and that was all I can do

Envision me my love, through and through

The times when we laughed, played and cried

All good it was I cannot deny

I know my love , all that it was

For many never have that all because

They know not to love, hard and with emotion

To give it their all,  flow free with devotion

But as the river runs to the end of its path

One learns that the other side may have had it’s wrath

It’s okay, I have loved, I gave it my all

For that’s the only way I would rather fall

Hard and deep within my own steps

But arise from the spill from my own depths

To stand taller, never to look behind

And note always,  I am one of a kind
