"Don't Shun Me out"

The perspective of a child with adhd

I am a child like any other

born enthusiastic - ready to see.

But, unlike my brother,

I was born with ADHD

 

I strive for love, strive for attention,

please don't shun me out!

There is so much I didn't mention,

my mind - full of confusion and doubt.

 

I can't explain why I act the way I do,

but I know that I have a big heart.

Please have patience, guide me through

One day I shall stand together, not apart..

 

I'll remember those who worked to help me,

In my place in future time.

Those who shunned me out, you will see

That as a child of God, I will succeed.
