My SpotllightA Poem by Cbklyn4uWritten on the day the verdict was delivered for the murder of Trayvon Marin and for all the parents who have lost thier children to gun violenceMy spot light was taken away from me,
my time not yet to leave.
Cannot people see the insanity,
too many parents left to grieve.
In Heaven I stand with multitudes,
who have not the chance to shine.
Because of a gun, I had to leave,
my opportunity was left behind.
I stand with the angels, joyus company
But tears flow for my parents agony
For their baby had not the chance to see
Life as God planned it, this was not meant to be
God embraced me at the gates,
he whispered my name that day.
He said, "Son, I had not created the hate,
that my children display...
Your spotlight is here now
Though your time on Earth was not as I planned.
Know that this, I vow....
they shall repent, shall be damned." © 2013 Cbklyn4u |
