Personal Van Gogh

Personal Van Gogh

A Poem by Charlie Bell
"

Wrote on a whim after a long night a couple of years ago.

"
Paint me a villain using strokes of Black and Red.
Paint me upon your canvas, the canvas in your head.
All those deeds and misfortunes you seem to remember so well.
Lay brush to your opus, paint your personal hell.

Slashes of blue,
Some purple over there.
In the mirror you see the lifting of my care.

Withered and broken you lay your brush down.
Feel the cold of the world come crashing all around.
Look back and see that it was all true,
The stranger you've been painting was always...you.
