Hatred

I wrote this after an argument with my step dad got physical and I lost a week of my life so my family could remain safe.

I hate you 

I hate you for hurting me 

I hate you for hurting my mom 

I hate you for the pain you've caused me and my family 

What you've done is unforgivable  

You laid you hands on me, you cut us with your razor sharp words, you destroyed your marriage 

Because I didn't go to church 

It doesn't matter that I need to get a grade, because I didn't go to church 

We walk on eggshells to try to make you happy, but that's not enough 

Because I didn't go to church 

I hate you because you don't know how to be a step father, a father, a husband 

I hate you because you made me suffer and I need it all to just STOP 

I HATE YOU BECAUSE I'M NOT 17 BECAUSE YOU MADE ME GROW UP 

You made me miss out on a nice childhood that every kids wants 

But I'm not letting you continue to steal from me 

Therefore, I cannot waste my time hating you
