the keyhole

the keyhole

A Poem by caitlin

Dont look through the keyhole.
Dont look throught, my child.
Look any were else:
The floor, the ceiling.
But not through the keyhole, she cried.
   If only i had listened.
If only i'd obeyed.
If only id heeded my mothers warning.
And away from the keyhole, I'd stayed.
   Whats behind the keyhole?
What ghoul inside roams free?
Well know I'm sad to tell you, that behind the keyhole:
Is me.
