Reunion

Reunion

A Poem by Catherine Macatangay

Death visited me again, today.

She’d been on my mind for a while.

I’ve been wondering when I’d hear from her,

When she’d bring upon those timeworn ideations.

As she lingered,

I was met with familiar spirits.

I envisioned ways of expiration.

I toyed with the idea of ‘future’.

I wonder, is death happy to see me?

Is she delighted knowing I still think of her?

I expect,

We will meet again.
