how our sex only brought excitement

how our sex only brought excitement

A Poem by Joe Kwak

you were my world,

I loved you

with a full heart.

I felt your pain,

as you shook wild

on my bedroom floor.

you took too much.

I watched helpless,

as you lay helpless.

you were so beautiful

but when you cried,

it scared me.

I hoped you’d live,

I hoped my kiss

kept you in reality.

my phone made no calls,

no ambulance,

you took it.

I watched you slip

deeper into your head,

reality fizzled.

you disappeared,

into a dark place.

we were strangers.

rolling blue eyes,

tiny lips dribble,

spit from a seizure -> how I swore it’s my fault
