Sightlessness

Sightlessness

A Poem by Chaoscaine
"

An acrostic poem adressing the metaphorical and physical traits of sightlessness.

"

Seeing through colored glasses

Illusions control the masses

Good or bad, we see it not

Having not a single thought

The people are led by elbow

Lies or truth, they don’t know

Ears leading across the roaring rivers

Slipping through light cut to slivers

Seconds of unexplained heat

Never knowing how bad they’re beat

Ending where the beginning is

Saving what they now miss

Such is Oedipus and Lear’s Curse
