Shades Of Life

Shades Of Life

A Poem by Dwelling Moments Of A Teenager

Living but, barely surviving,
last moments are always the most memorable.
Whispering giants playing with my ear drums.
Calling into fog...
the unseekable future pulling my organs out of me.
souls drifting above my head.
following the speech of a better tomorrow.
The creatures, biting at my ankles.
Soft touch upon my face.
brushes of black peeling off to rainbows of light,
Pulling down the cloaks of promise,
revealing the true shade of them.
The small innocent boy I fell for,
really pigments of evil bound together.
Crushing the most simplest of smiles,
only to humour the monsters.
Trying to collect the pipes dream.
Shade me back in a band of colours,
Paint me back into the world.
