Darkness

This is the first poem I have ever wrote; which was in the 7th grade when I was feeling bad about myself. And still am today.

Darkness is all around me,

No where to go but farther down into the darkness,

No one can help me from falling farther into the darkness,

I cry for help but no one comes,

To save me from myself,

Now the darkness hurts as if someone is pulling me away,

It fades away as fast as it comes,

There is no hope for me,

But still someone keeps trying to pull me back,

To the light,

Why save me,

Who would save someone like me,

A loner, an outcast, and a freak,

Who would someone crazy maybe,

I feel it again it is strong,

Closer to me,

A faint voice,

"Please come back,"

The voice was faint but sad and pleading,

I cry out to them,

Then I see light again,

He my savior is there,

He looks down,

Says "do not leave,

I want you to stay,

Forever."

Author's Note

Just tell me what you think of it; and no I did not try to commit suicide I was just feeling extremely depressed.

Good write, angst thoughts but good. Pretty good for a year 7 student, must admit! Only when I read you comment before this poem started did I think again of what to write! (I thought you could have gone a little deeper/in depth about your sadness, loneliness and maybe even hatred for the world etc. but this is, as I said, pretty good for a year 7). Well done.

Thanks; I wrote this when I was angry and sometimes when I do get angry I can not think as clearly so whatever I write, I write.

Yes, that is what we all do, don't we? When we get angry, sometimes, we cannot think clearly, but we write as a soothing method. Great poem, all in all, is what I was trying to say. :)
