The Real Me!

A poem I wrote for my counselor Jolene. It expresses how I want to see my self; in a way.

I have said a lot of bad things about myself,

Most of them in the past,

A few in the present,

But now I realize how wrong I am,

But just the bad things,

Not the good,

Such as i really am a loner and weird,

But now I am getting rid of all the bad things,

Trying to change myself and make me a better person,

Now I want to be somebody,

I want to either one day be an Author,

Or a Visual Artist,

I am a cat loving person,

I am crazy and weird but a fun friend,

I am loyal and trustworthy until the end,

I stand up for what I believe in,

Even if is is crazy and far-fetched,

I am a book worm and a music lover,

Shy but true to my opinions and myself,

In the past I tried to fit in,

But now I do not,

I am my own amazing and beautiful person,

I did not realize how many people cared about me at first,

But eventually I did,

It is now I know,

That my family care about me,

I am a strong, independent, beautiful, trustworthy, amazing, fun, crazy, and weird person,

And I am,

Great way of writing your 'About Me'! aha but this poem does have a meaning behind it, like all poems, I suppose. 'Creative' should also be on your list of great qualities you possess! All I can say to you now is, if you have the qualities, use them for good. And as you said, ALWAYS stay true to yourself, and never doubt your amazingness! You may stumble and fall along the way, and have your doubts about yourself, but in the end, you do not need to succumb to those negative thoughts. Open up your mind, see the bright in every dark, and stand back up on your own two feet. Face the world with courage, bravado and power so strong and high, you will reach the sky. The sky's the limit, remember! :)
