Phases of NightA Poem by CatA maroon afternoon. Agitated by fruitless angst of evening. Deep into the remembrance of burgundy hearts; lukewarm bath. A cleansing overflow. Rosy rainwater. Flowing to a pastel haze of melancholy fingers. Dimmed under a coral complexion. Blurred by a vermilion silhouette. I’d been subdued; to a downy twilight. Showered in scarlet sympathy. The faint ripples in her dimples. Velvet dusk. © 2015 Cat |
