I Can't SwimA Poem by CatEach day wakes with white foam as waves break. And seams tear and floating is no longer an option. We're encouraged to take swim lessons, wear floaties, fight the current. But we're left alone. We're forced to sift through seas as we drown in fear. We lead a life above water, but dumped into a trench of black infinity. How are we to establish a synchronization when all we can do is fight to stay afloat? There's no flawless backstroke, just a butterfly with a broken wing.
