Uproot Me

Uproot Me

A Poem by Cat

Uproot me.
Get me out! This terracotta seclusion has me suffocated.
I've been buried.
You dug my expectancy into a mixture of your dead leaves and false attributes.
You spoke of your accomplishments, of your growing season, of the tall and strong branches that fled from your faults.
You were flourishing. I sensed a thorn under your surface, I ignored.
I loved your scent.

Swappy Kale and I have discussed this poem in depth many times. This reminds me of the Drake song - Running through the Six with my woes. You know how that ---- goes! Keep up the good work Cat. If you need anyone to show you around, just ask ;)

I love your poetry. Combination of nature and life.
"You were flourishing. I sensed a thorn under your surface, I ignored.
I loved your scent. "
The above lines I could expand with. Strong words and thoughts left the reader with something to think about. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
