The Biggest Lie

The Biggest Lie

A Poem by Cat

It's quite simple, actually
to wait each day for the one that changes it.
To live your life like a precious child's doll,
to be dressed and kept and sitting pretty.

It's very comforting, isn't it?
To know you're "not alone"
surrounded by ladies who are
to be dressed and kept and sitting pretty.

It's exceptional to live, really
to know your fate and smile.
To stay awake full of joy and pleasure,
to be dressed and kept and sitting pretty.

It's a blessing, is that so?
To lose your face among the waves
of lovely girls just like you, exuberant!
that all they have to do
is to be dressed and kept and sitting pretty.

It's slowly killing us, truthfully
to pretend we don't know know who we are.
To ask for your help and to "need you more."
To listen intently, speechless, being
naked and drawn and sitting pretty.
