A Poem by Toasty (Erin)

I use to play in a field of green and yellow

Everything seemed so mellow

with you by my side I could do anything

Until the man with the suit came

They took you away

They said you were insane

And then took you away

We miss you and the field misses you too

You said you and I would run away

But,

They took you away

Away from friends and family

And me..

The final words were 'I love you'

Well I love you too

Hopefully one day I'll take your word

Andd run away into the feild of green and yellow

Couple grammar slips at the end. The beginning is strong. You had me hooked with the first 7 lines. Go back and tighten up the ending. You can do this with syntax and your choice of words. Do get lost in emotion too. Good poem.
