Zen at the fairground

Zen at the fairground

A Poem by Firebird
"

The inside of my head is like a crazy fairground ride. Zen is the only cure.

"
Cacophony
Blurred faces
Faster and faster, the lights revolving
Screaming and laughter
Make it stop!
The man with the beautiful face
Is pushing harder
Colours coalesce
Mutiplying madness
Until finally
whiteness prevails
Nothing remains
Seeking the blank wall
Being the blank wall.

As I am interested in controlling thoughts through meditation and affirmation, I was drawn to this offering. The carnival scene imagery is effective in conveying the effects of revving thoughts. The last lines show an abrupt cessation of those thoughts. The speaker's mind has merged with its source. Zen can indeed be powerful, but it is not easy.

Fairgrounds are chaotic, especially those roller-coaster rides. Probably not the best place to meditate :) Wait till afterwards to clear your mind out and get some peace :) I enjoyed the read.

The fairground was my mind. Peace must be found where you are.
