As I Pass By

As I Pass By

A Poem by Ashley
"

To anyone who's lost a loved one.

"

All alone once more

Should I even bother to knock on your door?

To ask for another chance

We use to be best friends

But you see, you left me

There is more to this story

I won't speak of it now

Letting old memories linger

Will only cause more pain

Moving on is the next best thing

I don't want to live in vain

So, I pass by your door

Knowing I will see you never more

Walking by with my head held high

Hoping not to cry

Without you by my side

I will try to stay strong

And just keep moving along

It is a sad poem and powerful at that. I have been through the same thing. Getting to know people and then saying good bye. Not all good things last for ever. If bad things do is because we are blinded. Stay strong and forget. At least that's what I have done. A very good write. Thanks for sharing!!!

This was a very strong poem and I could feel the hurt, and the feeling that you are trying to just keep going. I love the emotion in here, great job.
