WHERE AM I

Being around large crowds of people.

coming around a large crowd what do you see?

lots of people who are looking at you.

you have no idea what they are thinking.

they are looking at you as if you were from another planet or something.

apart of you feels like you are in a different planet with many people, who don't have any idea who you are or what you are about.

they look at you and judge you right away.

then you think to your self, where am i?

I don't know any of these people.

They are giving me dirty looks and think I don't belong there.

I am a person just like them, but I might be different

but I am a human like they are.

At the end you always ask yourself Where AM I

Uniquely written this piece. We rarely discuss our thoughts of what we think others are thinking as they look at us...I usually just smile and see what I get in return! We all think about it...I like where this took me!

I think you should ignore them. You are who you are. You should not care about people judging you. Nobody is perfect and that includes them as well. Go face the world, my friend. Let not the naysayers hinder your progress. People are always there to comment .

No it's perfect, like you. People never know what's going on inside your head. So don't be so fast that they are thinking bad thoughts about you. Maybe they think you look nice or you look dapper. Who really cares what they are thinking. What really matters is what YOU are thinking. You hold the key to YOU. After all, you choose to be there and you choose to enjoy yourself or not. You have the key to your feelings and your thoughts. I wish I could hang out with you for a while. You are super awesome my friend! You are a great artist on paper and Bravo to you! This is one of those thoughts that occurs so regularly that people simply dismiss it, but it is an interesting question, and significant in terms of human existence. The poem presents this puzzle suggestively, and with a subtle nudge at meaning, leaving the reader with their own personal interpretation but most certainly a sense of the anonymity of human life, aside from the fraternity we naturally share.
This poem conveys philosophical soul and intelligence in expanding this thought, and inspires a sense of examination and comprehension of a phenomenon which is difficult to understand - and perhaps to many it is difficult to accept. Effectively it is gratifying to read it.
