Looking at pictures, there is so much you can say. The picture for my story is one that I have taken.
Pictures are something I enjoy taking. Each picture has its own little story behind. A story that many people who do take pictures don't really think about, they just take them. Pictures are something that last forever. They have memories that we as people can go back and talk about about in the future. The stories behind what was taken are the most amazing part. What was taken gets me curious, what did the object go through in past, what is going to happen to it in the future, how many people have seen that object, has something bad happened to it, has the scenery changed around it. Those questions make taking pictures worth taking.
Given that every comment I read was from people who were more daft than three Polocks riding a unicycle built for two, it falls to me to sort this mess out.
As a Still Life, I suppose this is fine. But as for this 'message' that people claim to be seeing, it's just not there. It isn't. I understand you're trying to convey an artistic idea, but it fell short. It felt more like a school report about pictures than artistic expression.
I feel like I've been leaving nothing but negative reviews on your posts, but just know that I'm not trying to be harsh. I'm trying to be as constructive as I can be. I want to give advice that will help you write better, but I'm not sure how I can help with this. It's just...boring. It doesn't make me think. It was actually a struggle to get through.
But that's because I was trying to see this 'message' every other person claimed to see. There's no message whatsoever. Nothing is conveyed but obvious information and Jaden Smith-esque ponderings.
However, if everyone else is just crazy and this was meant as a Still Life, non-fiction, journal entry then you're good.

Truly beautiful :) I never really thought about how pictures have a message, but now every time i see an old picture of mine, I'll think of the good ol' days :)
I will be honest, I have never really thought about pictures in that perspective! You gave me a new outlook on something new. I can't really say I take pictures all the time, but I love looking back at them and really you can just feel like you're going back in time to that moment of your life. Great write and keep writing!!!

The best thing about a picture is that each one is unique in its own way. They individually have a story to tell. Based upon the subject and atmosphere, they can trigger a variety of emotions.
Good job.

thanks for commenting :) i agree with you, no two pictures are the same :)
I too think about all those questions when I look at a picture. I try to imagine the story behind all of them and the characters. I thought I was the only one, glad I'm not alone :)
