Heard from the HeavensA Story by castargirlAs the cutains closed I could still feel the high it gave me and the roar of the croud when it was over. While everone else who made this dream of mine possible, I just stood there is aw. With my heart still pounding at a rapid rate I knelt down folded my hands and prayed. I prayed for all the support and love He gave me to turn around from the dark days, and I also prayed that my song would reach the heavens and my fiance would here it. My fiance died 1 week before we were to be married. When I was done I bowed my head and turned to face everyone as a tear rolled down my cheek, probably causing my mascara to run but I didn't care. As soon as my bandmates saw me they started to applaud me and then everyone else who was there joined in. A smile spread across my face, they knew how hard it was for me to sing that song. "Come on guys let's clean this place up and go out for a dinner, my treat." As soon as I said that everyone started putting everything away, and within a half an hour everthing was cleaned up and put into the truck.
I was about to walk outside when i remembered that i had left me purse in my dressing room. "Hey, Micheal!" I called over to my lead guitarist, "I left something inside, I'll be back in a couple of minutes." He acknowledged that he heard me with a simple head nod. I turned on my heel and speed walked back into the building. There were still people in there, mostly service people though, so I wasn't afraid to go back in there. When I reached my dressing room one of the cleaning ladies was in there whipping down the mirror. When I saw my purse I walked over to it with and exscuse me. Right before I left the room the lady said in such a hushed tone that i could barley make out what she is saying "I really enjoyed that last song you sang about the loved one dying." I turned to look at her and notice small little things about her like her little to nothing waist, her lifeless hair, and her frail structure. It looked like with one little fall allt the bones in her body would break. "Thank you." I left not wanting a conversation.
I didn't remember it being this cold when I went inside. I wrapped my arms around myself but it didn't work. Still cold I walked to the car when I noticed the lady cleaning my room standing there with a note in her hands. She walked towards me and handed me the note. I looked down at it, I was just a plane piece of paper folded up. When I looked back up to ask her what it was she was gone. "Hey Mary are you coming over here or what?" My drummer was standing ourside the car calling me over. I looked both ways and crossed the street over to where the car was.
Right as I was about to step into the car the note flew outta my hand and onto the street. "You've gotta be kidding me!" I stomped over to where it had landed. The note had unfolded and was laying face up on the ground; I picked it up and read what i could make out.
Those were the last lines in my song about my fiance. When I went back and slid into the car I knew that he sent her to me, the lady cleaning my window, and that he had heard my song. He was going to wait for me and make me heard from the heavens.
