Tears Like Rain

This is another poem that I wrote for my friends in March. This came a little later, though, when another of her family members died.

Tears

Like

Rain

Fall down on your face

Skin

Like

Fire

Hot from the feelings

Red from the blood

Words 

Like Knives

Stabbing from all sides

Creating new cuts

Reopening new scars

Hands

Like

Ice

No feeling at all

You didn’t know

That something

Could be so cold

Feet 

Like 

Lead

You can’t go anywhere

So you must stay

And suffer in silence

All alone in the world

While life goes on and

Tears

Like

Rain

Fall down on your face
