misty moon
hiding behind cloud moving
your skin revealing hues
from subdued to mesmerizing
viewed through the skylight
in the darkness of night
aloof and distant
yet constant in a lifetime
rock solid to me
in times of sorrow
or those joyful
A lovely way to describe the moon, Chris. Sort of like an old friend who we know will answer if we call but isn’t necessarily part of the everyday. The moods and shifts of the moon are mesmerizing indeed. How many faces it might wear in a single night as it moves up the sky. It is amazing how it can be something both overlooked and entrancing—maybe both in the same night as well. You’ve set a mood with your poem. I really enjoyed this.

Thank you, Chris. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
One of the very few constants we can all share Chris, sadly some of us never look up towards the heavens to see the beauty there .
The moon follows us you know, i watched it one night driving home and it followed me all the way, i don't think i knew it was watching :)

I love misty moons...sometime a bit haunting at times but as the clouds pass over it is stunning and suitable for a romantic tryst...it can reveal so much in the present and in your memories....joyful or sad....to me is is bittersweet....I feel some sorrow in it as well....lovely

A beautiful way to tell the significance and the beauty of the moon, Chris. Your poems are beautiful, and you are one in a few people who inspired me to also write poems.
