To the dearest Chris. Hope you are doing great. People are haunting me in dreams, that too they are fellow indians, i feel disgrace to them. They are like backstabbing me as they cant face me,
anyhow, i love and being loved by me is my whole purpose of my life and birth. He is really a God, his nature every other men envies,a dream boy to.women, for few he is like hot cake. For his caring heart, yielding everything of his' people wants to have him in their life as he is very soft and just listens, because most of men are like controlling, dominating, need women for social reason or either on bed. But he just cares truly from heart. A man such is like a kid, is more often missused by many for their advantage. I adore him, he knows.me very well. I dont hurt him and never taken advantage, he cares and adores me back as the lines you mentioned about sun, for the harmony they want to hav in their life
Loving you , 💙

Thank you for leaving love Jessy. Kindness is so important.
I do agree dear Chris.
"so surely what we seek the most
is a life of harmony
with those who hold us in their hearts
our friends and family"
I understand the above lines. Wasn't for my grandchildren. I would be lost and alone. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

this one really touched me. it reads like a spiritual journey, heightened by the mention of candles. that we must look for the light - which can either be happiness, wisdom, compassion, faith or all of the above. 'i do not fear the darkness / though i much prefer the light,' gets me perfectly. facing fear, agony, or darker aspects of our souls is spiritual practice. but more brooding isn't the answer, it is to welcome the sun's rays 'dispelling all the gloom of shade / replacing it with gold.' it is full of wise words, and although i'm not sure if anybody holds me dear in their hearts, i will continue to try and show kindness to all around me and admire life's beauty, as this work reminded me to do.

Loneliness isn't being alone ...it's turning around to share something you've perceived and there is no one else there.

Life happens Chris... I've lived on my own more than a fair bit.
Such sweet sentimental verse with a comforting message and a pensive look at the passage of time. Time is life and how we spend our time is how we spend our life. What could be sweeter than the company of those we love? Just lovely writing, my friend. I enjoyed. F.

I am not a poet or a reviewer, but I do love well placed words and enjoy work from Dylan Thomas, through Frank O'Hara and as diverse as Jim Morrison so I hope you will forgive my clumsy attempt. This is a beautiful poem, Chris! Here are some of my thoughts on it:
It uses vivid imagery to contrast light and darkness, symbolising different aspects of life. The light represents positivity, warmth, and clarity, while the darkness, though not feared, is a backdrop for the beauty of the stars and moon. The poem has a consistent rhythm and rhyme scheme, which makes it pleasant to read. The alternating lines create a soothing flow, much like the themes of peace and harmony you describe. It evokes a sense of tranquility and contentment.
The imagery of the sun’s rays and flickering candles brings a comforting visual that aligns with the theme of seeking harmony in life. The concluding lines beautifully encapsulate its message about the importance of harmony and the value of relationships with friends and family. It’s a reminder of what truly matters.

Albert, my paternal grandfather introduced me to Tennyson when I was nine. I have loved poetry ever since but did not attempt writing a single piece until I was 40. It's never too late to try somethin.. more..
