Fish Out of Water

Fish Out of Water

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(Spontaneous write)

"
my socks are wet my mum will know
i’ve been where told I shouldn’t go
but water fascinates me so
those shallow beds of watercress
i can not help but paddle there
and then i wade in gurgling streams
a fish i am within my dreams
an older me now understands
why lakes and rivers not dry land
can reel me in oh yes they do
i am a Pisces through and through

What a lovely little escape in the waters.
How I love that., I am a Pisces too, I don't go to far in the deep but I love water regardless.

Aww, you're welcome.
Love the rhyme, and the word paintings of the simple joys of youth. It reminds me one of my favorite poems from my absolute favorite poet, William Wordsworth:

"My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety."

And, of course, mothers always know EVERYTHING. God bless them all. You are a breath of fresh air, Chris. Thank you for brightening my day as always.

Mum's are spooky, aren't they?
It took Mr years to figure out how she know it was me who left hand prints from paint all over my bedroom wallpaper. It never occurred to me it was because I was the only one with me size hands at all. But as I said, mum's are sneaky and no doubt your wet socks gave you away, as well as the puddles you squelchy with every step! 😀

I like to think of water as just a thicker version of air.

Your spontaneous writing is pretty solid. Keep it up Chris.

Splash in puddles, stomp through creeks, slide down hills of snow for thrills, whatever fires your imagination and spirit of youth. I enjoyed this.

I know why do we want mom when you get so horny all you need is to make them calm down.

Sorry chris i dont know i felt like its not you but someone else has written, i think i hav given path ahead, that will solve entirely your and hiz problem who cares one who really cared for him, all he need is his weeds and cactus pull. But i loved him like a kid and man too, my time was never with him but was with him only every time from beginning, so i dont know i aM fortunate or unfortunate i cant live without him, i dont him to get tortured by playing here And there, it is enough, when real souls get out what is left is ash to be turned to body it doesnt matter to me what happens to body once the soul is out.

I really loved him and my true love has kept us alive and care for each other, if i ever cheated him it would be a cheatful life i had lived. Enough of this drama , he knows and i know what we need who we need, it doesnt matter whether third person needs what or overriding her mind with self indulged deeds,

I just need little strength to take my son alomg with me, thinking that i cant live him alone without me i will be more woried if i leave him alone, so i think i can do it. And for me i am dead half already for him not being with me physically, for my dying is not a great task to fear. I just die every second when people are blocking us.
